My story

I first became fascinated by the nature of intelligence when reading Gödel, Escher, Bach: An Eternal Golden Braid, by Douglas Hofstadter, in high school. Partly as a result, I went on to major in Computer Science and Philosophy at UCT and, through a series of coincidences, ended up working in derivatives at a broking firm on the JSE, where I was twice rated the top analyst in the country.

Being a builder at heart, I ultimately returned to the IT sector in the early 2000s. After a stint at a large bank, I founded my first fintech company, which I exited in 2009 to found another transaction-processing business that counted Old Mutual, Massmart, G4S, Multichoice, Homechoice and Visa among its clients. I ran the business until I exited in 2023.

My passion has always been problem-solving and systems thinking. I'm basically incapable of looking at any real-world system without mentally reorganising and improving it. The arrival of AI delivered the tools required to address two systems I've been mentally reorganising for decades: trading and building businesses.

Pilot deployments are running.

We are open to early-customer and partner engagement.
